Candlewood Inn & Suites an IGH Hotel •  Stafford, Texas

RAI served as the Design Architect and Architect of Record. It included a complete renovation and conversion of a 1970’s era existing non-brand affiliated hotel property into an 80-room Candlewood Inn & Suites property complaint with IHG Brand standards. The renovation brought the existing hotel and property into compliance with current IBC and City of Houston Building Codes and into ADA-TAS Accessibility compliance. The project involved taking both existing drawings and as-built drawings and notes to complete, along with construction documents to guide the renovation of the existing outdated spaces into modern, functional spaces per IHG Brand standards. The project was completed in 2023.

Hampton Inn & Suites a Hilton Hotel • Sugarland, Texas

The design of the Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton in Sugar Land, Texas, harmoniously blends modernity with Southern charm. Holiday Inn Express & Suites • Galveston, Texas

RAI served as the Associate Architect for DD, CD, and CA phases on this beachfront project on Seawall Boulevard. This 6-floor, cast-in-place reinforced concrete hotel has 134 rooms and a detached 4-level, 218-unit parking garage, designed to meet stricter wind-storm codes for Coastal Building Construction. During construction, the US Army Corps of Engineers Seawall Construct from 1902-1904 was discovered beneath the property. RAI coordinated the review and approval process with the Corps to protect and upgrade the original Seawall. The project was completed in 2019.

Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott •  Austin, Texas

RAI served as the Associate Architect for this project located right next to the bustling Rainey Street Historic District in Downtown Austin. This was a complex project with a small available footprint for a 129 room hotel and 88 parking space internalized garage all within a 17-floor tower. RAI oversaw the production of construction documents and facilitated the project through the warrens of permitting. This project is slated to open 2024.
